Starting young horses is the main thing that I do. Getting them started on a good path with plenty of positive exposure to new things.
My technique in training is to have the horse give the correct response by releasing pressure when the right response is given.
Slow and steady, asking for a lot of respect on the ground and under saddle.
We can take horses that need to be worked on specific things like trailer loading or halter breaking.
I do alot of Ranch riding, water crossings & bridges. I introduce them to many other obstacles they might encounter on the trail.

Me and Badboy, my #1 partner for 20yrs.

We work the horse on a 30, 60, or 90 day program.
No horse is the same when it comes to training.
Some take to training faster and some take to it slower.
We work at the horses rate of trainability using the best method for that particular horse.

We have one thing in mind and that's creating a great partnership between you and your horse.
I go over all of my training cue's and explain what each one means so that you can walk away confident and ready to go.
There are times when I will help a new owner come to the realization that the horse they have come to me with may not be the right horse for
them depending on what they were looking for.

We offer many different riding experiences for the "Ready to hit the trail" horse. If you need hours put on your horse this is the place to come.
They can get experience in Ranch Riding, Trail Riding with large groups and wagons, and even camping out overnight on high lines.
There's even cattle working opportunities. Watterson Ranch holds practice sortings every Saturday with a jackpot on the first Saturday of every month.
